Our beloved Minnie went to join the rest of our pack frolicking and waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge on March 28/21
She is very, very missed. 😔
Minnie loved the lambs and sheep since she was a puppy! She was so incredibly gentle with them, but ferocious with coyotes or any other predators who threatened or endangered her charges.
This was how Minnie got acquainted with baby lambs. She would lay right down so she didn't frighten them!
Minnie was believing she was
protecting her flock and put herself in the path of a truck. Unfortunately the driver didn’t see her in time and was unable to stop. We lost her on March 28/21. I miss her terribly. This page was very difficult to do. The reason the website wasn’t updated for some time. 😔
This is Mick, our purebred Maremma Male. Mick is quite the guy!
Mick is also gentle with us and with children, and an incredible protector of our flock. Right from puppyhood on, Mick has taken his job of Livestock guardian very seriously.
We never tire of watching these guys at work. They work as a team and are ever vigilant in watching and protecting their flock.
When he's not out with the flock, Mick loves to be with us. He is excellent at helping me to socialize puppies. He also takes his job of personal protector seriously and keeps watch over the entire family.
And this is our beloved Moe! Guardian of the sheep, cats, grandkids, and yard! (Photo credit for this one goes to grandson Isaak!🥰)
Our beloved guardians have absolutely captured our hearts. We have a huge love and respect for this amazing breed of dog and the work they do.
Maremmas like to get to a high place and watch over their charges. This is Mick on a rainy morning, watching his flock.
